Plaice is a very popular flat fish; it is loved for its sweet and mild flavour. Plaice is an ambush hunter which means it spends much of its time lying on the seabed which gives it a very soft and flaky texture to its flesh. Plaice is an ideal fresh fish for summer meals, it is tastes amazing simply pan-fried in butter. But if you want to be more adventurous it is also ideal for fish goujons, fish tacos, or with Mediterranean flavours such as capers and tomatoes.
